Ghadi to be shown in NYC

The Consul General of Lebanon in New York, Majdi Ramadan, and the American Friends of Sesobel present the film Ghadi. This movie is being shown for the first time in NYC at the Landmark Sunshine Theater on October 22nd, 2015 at 8:00PM, to benefit the children of Sesobel in Lebanon.

Ghadi, written by George Khabbaz, directed by Amin Dora and produced by Gabriel Chamoun, is the story of a little boy with special needs. A good natured satire about bigotry and redemption that was last year’s nominee for Best Lebanese Movie at the The Murex D'or award show!

When a teacher in a provincial Lebanese town is forced by his intolerant neighbors to either institutionalize his son with Down Syndrome or leave the neighborhood altogether, he creates a campaign to convince them that his son is an angel who will grant wishes if they become better people.

The screening is co-presented by American Friends of SESOBEL (AFS), which helps improve the quality of life and supports the families of children with mental and physical disabilities in Lebanon. The link to the movie is
