American Friends of Sesobel

Your donations provide vital support to the disabled children of Lebanon

The American Friends of SESOBEL  (AFS) charity is an all-volunteer non-profit organization 501(c)3   EIN 20-2759148 founded in 2006 to support the disabled children of Lebanon, specifically the youth of SESOBEL which is headquartered in Kesrouan, Lebanon.

Our financial assistance helps to provide education, medical services, physical therapy, speech therapy, vocational rehabilitation, family guidance and support, assistive devices, social integration, and advocacy. These holistic services transform the lives of SESOBEL’s physically and mentally challenged children.  Early intervention, the acceptance of children regardless of their financial, ethnic or religious background, and preserving family unity are hallmarks of SESOBEL’s mission and ours.

The American Friends of SESOBEL supports SESOBEL’s worthy cause of helping Lebanon’s most vulnerable children by soliciting donors in the U.S.  AFS also provides other types of support such as the purchase of educational materials, seeking grants for staff training, and raising awareness about the social and economic issues impacting  disabled children in Lebanon.

AFS is a Partner in Trust member of Guide-Star, a prominent American web-based organization that promotes transparency of U.S. non-profit organizations. AFS has minimal expenses as all volunteers rely on their own resources to advance fundraising initiatives.
